We had hoped for the snow to fall earlier, but after two days of sun, a stormy night with wind gusts of up to 200km/hr (blowing a window off the balcony) followed by rain, this morning we woke up to steady snow and a winter wonderland. Very pretty, not easy to ski in and with my bunged up knees thanks to a nasty tumble on Monday, I pulled the pin early and took the downhill run to the village from Kleine Scheidegg. Arriving in the village I could see most people were calling it quits for the day. Tomorrow promises to be much better with fresh snow cover and a return of the sun. When that happens it will look more like this which I took from the top of Mannlichen on Monday. The forbidding north face of the Eiger can be seen in the background.
