In five days I will be flying out to El Calafate in Argentina to start the first section of my Patagonia trip: trekking around Cerro Torre and Monte Fitzroy. After that I move to Puerto Natales to start the Torres del Paine circuit and I will finish it all off in San Carlos de Bariloche, relaxing over a (by that stage) well-deserved glass of Argentinian red.
At the moment, though, it’s a mad rush for the finishing line, with a thousand things to do before I get on that plane. Not ideal preparation, but the best I’m going to get right now. I will post whenever I have access to the internet, which I suspect will not be that often. Besides, have no intention of carrying my iPad when hiking; every gram in my pack is checked!
